I never knew anything about the Kornman sisters until the other day I watched a short film directed by George Stevens of the "Boy Friends" and when I noticed Mary in the film, she caught my eye instantly. Not only a good actress but what a beautiful woman. When I started reading about her and viewing her pictures, I also learned about her sister Mildred and learned about her being one of the first supermodels and may I add, also a very beautiful woman. It's sad that those days are gone and today's generation sure could learn alot from that era, My parents grew up in that time and both were very decent and honest people. Uncompared to the people of today just like the time the Kornman sisters were growing up. I sure am enjoying learning about both of th Kornman sisters life

To My "Other Mother" Ricki - You are as beautiful, stunning and stylish now as you were in your modeling career. Meeting and getting to know you have been one of my life's greatest joys. We've shared many a martini, discussions about family, life and loves and we have laughed and laughed at so many stories. Now we can only communicate through phone, notes and cards and soon by computer but it will have to do in between visits. The passenger seat in my new red car is reserved for our ride down "Prospect Avenue" in La Jolla this December. Wear red - its a good color for us blondes! ve been told that KHJ radio inside the Los Angeles Times Bldg. at 1st and Broadway was featured in a 1925 Our Gang Movie called "Mary, Queen of Tots", is this true?
Also, was the KHJ announcer John S. Daggett/Uncle John Daggett, used in the movie, or was he played by an actor?
And, was the KHJ scene in this movie filmed at The Times, or at the Roach Studio?
Can I get this film today on DVD? (original post 2-05-2006)
